Nordic Eldercare Robotics: Market Opportunity 2035

Fleet demand, price to win and market access in Finland, Sweden and Norway. The briefing reads three country analyses of humanoid robots in home care and care homes from a manufacturer's point of view: how big the market could be, what all-in price public buyers can afford, what they will require, and how they buy.

Company licence €1,490 (launch price until 31 Dec 2026, then €1,990) · with FI/SE/NO data packs €2,990 · group licence with a year of updates €4,900 / year. Prices exclude VAT; instant download.

Five findings (2035, robots doing 50% of the task basket)

  1. The market is large but conditional. About 143,000 robots in shared fleets: 81,000 in Sweden, 39,000 in Norway and 23,000 in Finland. That is €11.4 billion of fleet investment and €3.8 billion a year in spending; between 60,000 and 226,000 robots depending on scope.

  2. Buyers pay for capacity, not headcount cuts. Only 3–12% of robot task time comes out of staff schedules. Valued as care capacity, freed time exceeds fleet cost by about €0.66 billion a year in Norway, roughly breaks even in Finland and falls short by about €0.12 billion in Sweden.

  3. Norway is the beachhead. A shared-fleet robot pays back on staff savings below about €575 a month all-in, and as extra capacity below about €3,650 a month.

  4. Shared fleets win; one robot per home loses. A robot in each client's home turns every country's result €1.3–4.2 billion a year negative.

  5. The competitor is the device already installed. Most Nordic municipalities already run medication dispensers and digital night supervision. A humanoid must beat them on tasks that need mobility, two hands or several jobs on one machine.
